Editorial Team — Mint Bet

How we work

Each review is drafted by one author, fact-checked by a second editor, and revised when the operator makes a material change (new bonus, new payment method, new app build). Updates are logged in the page footer. The editorial calendar is planned a month ahead. New releases from Mint Bet — a new app build, a new payment method, a new tournament — get an in-week update instead of waiting for the next full review. Every change on the site is logged with an author initial and the date in the page footer.

Draft reviews stay in an internal staging area for at least twenty-four hours before publication, which gives the fact-checker a full working day in Australian time to spot errors. The author and the fact-checker are never the same person. A third pair of eyes — the main editor — signs off on the final verdict, the headline and the pros/cons list.

Roles

Authors write and update brand reviews. The editor plans the review calendar, enforces the methodology and handles reader complaints. The fact-checker verifies bonus terms, licences and payment timings against the operator's own pages before publishing. The team shares the workload across a few timezones: the main editor is in Sydney, authors in Melbourne and Perth, and a fact-checker in Brisbane. Nobody on the editorial side has an active Mint Bet account used for play; test accounts are kept separate from personal ones and are only used for review sessions.

The main editor also writes the methodology and editorial policy pages, which is why they share a voice with the brand reviews. Authors keep their own voice but all go through the same copy-editing pass for consistency on brand names ("Mint Bet" as two words, "Pokies" capitalised in headings but not in body text) and for Australian spelling.

Join us

We hire part-time authors with iGaming knowledge and native English. If you are interested, send a short CV and two writing samples to the editorial email in the footer. We do not accept guest posts or sponsored articles. We are especially interested in authors who can test on real devices — the pokies lobby and the live tables behave differently on mid-range Android and on iOS, and the review needs to reflect what players actually see. If you have gambling-counselling experience, please mention it; responsible-gaming reviews need a different voice.

Author cards

Each author has a byline card at the top of their articles with their name, role, areas of focus and the number of brand reviews they have authored. Author photos are stylised avatars, not stock photography. Each byline links to a short bio page with the author's beats (bonuses, pokies, payments, apps, sportsbook), the number of brand reviews they have authored, and a contact form that goes to the editorial inbox rather than the author's personal email.

How we check facts

Bonus amounts, wagering requirements, deposit limits and payout timings are confirmed against the operator's bonus page and cashier the day the review is published, and spot-checked monthly thereafter. We maintain a shared spreadsheet of brand-level facts — Mint Bet, in our case — covering the welcome bonus match percentage and cap, free spin count and expiry, minimum deposit, withdrawal methods and timings, licence number and renewal date. The fact-checker refreshes it monthly and before every re-review.
